Bank Exam Preparation Strategy for Beginners (IBPS/SBI)

जब मैंने पहली बार IBPS Clerk का form भरा था , तो मुझे honestly यह भी नहीं पता था कि Quantitative Aptitude और Reasoning में फ़र्क क्या है। पूरा Syllabus देखकर घबरा गया इतने सारे topics कैसे तैयार करूँगा, इतनी सारी books कैसे पढूंगा। फिर मेरे एक senior teacher ने बताया की घबरओ मत ‘Bank exam में जो syllabus दिया गया है वह इतना भी बड़ा नहीं है, बस strategy सही होनी चाहिए।‘ वो बात सच निकली। आज इस article में वही सारे strategy share कर रहा हूँ जो मुझे काश पहले पता होती।

1. Bank Job ही क्यों? ऐसी क्या खासियत है इस नौकरी में

जब भी कोई किसी से पूछता है कि “Bank job ही क्यों?“ तो ज़्यादातर लोग कहते हैं अच्छी salary मिलती है , respectful नौकरी है , job security है और कई सुविधाए देता है यह सब बिलकुल सच भी है। लेकिन एक और बात है जो बहुत कम लोग बताते हैं और जानते है bank exam India के सबसे well-structured exams में से एक है। Syllabus fixed है, pattern fixed है, और आप ढंग से मेहनत करते हो तो इसका सीधा result मिलता है।

Graduation के बाद अगर आप लोग सोच रहे हैं कि क्या करें तो private job की uncertainty सबसे ज्यादा है, higher studies में जाने के लिए पैसे नहीं हैं तो bank exam एक real और achievable option है। IBPS Clerk की starting salary ₹26,000+ है, और Probationary Officer (PO) की ₹52,000+ होती है यह किसी भी fresher candidates के लिए अच्छा मौका होता है।

मेरी बात: Bank exam में एक बहुत अच्छी बात यह है कि यहाँ कोई physical test नहीं होता, कोई interview pressure नहीं होता Clerk level पर, और posting ज़्यादातर अपने state में मिलती है। Freshers के लिए यह तीनों चीज़ें बहुत valuable हैं।

2. IBPS या SBI में से कौन सा Bank Exam पहले दें?

यह सवाल हर beginner के मन में आता है की कौन सा Bank Exam पहले दें IBPS या SBI मेरे हिसाब से Simple जवाब यह है की दोनों Bank Exam साथ में दे दो। अगर Syllabus देखा जाये दोनों Bank Exam का तो लगभग 90% same है। लेकिन दोनों Bank exam की अपनी अलग importance है।

Beginner Strategy for freshers: पहले IBPS Clerk को target करो vacancies ज़्यादा होती हैं, difficulty moderate होता है। साथ में SBI Clerk की भी तैयारी होती रहेगी क्योंकि syllabus same होता है। PO बाद में target करो जब confidence build हो जाए।

2026 Calendar: SBI Clerk 2026 notification आ चुकी है। IBPS Clerk 2026 notification September 2026 में expected है। अभी से तैयारी शुरू करो SBI Clerk June 2026 में है।

3. Bank Exam Pattern for Prelims और Mains

Bank exam में दो stages होती हैं Prelims और Mains, Prelims एक qualifying exam है , इसके marks final merit में नहीं जुड़ते। Mains के marks से final selection होता है।

Negative Marking: Bank exams में हर गलत answer पर 0.25 marks कटते हैं। यानी 4 गलत answers = 1 सही answer बर्बाद। इसलिए सिर्फ attempt करो जब 80%+ confident हो।

मेरी Real बात: Bank exam में Puzzles + Data Interpretation सबसे ज़्यादा time लेते हैं। इन दोनों पर शुरू से focus करो। जो student Puzzles में अच्छा होता है, वो Reasoning में हमेशा आगे रहता है। Daily एक puzzle ज़रूर solve करो।

5. 6-Month Study Plan

अगर आप अभी (April/May 2026) से शुरू कर रहे हैं और SBI Clerk या IBPS Clerk 2026 target कर रहे हैं, तो यह plan follow करें:

Month 1 Foundation:

• Syllabus और pattern समझो
• Math: Basic Arithmetic शुरू करो
• Reasoning: Basic Puzzles सीखो
• English: Grammar rules + Vocab
• Banking Awareness शुरू करो

Month 2 Core Topics:

• Math: DI + Number Series
• Reasoning: Seating Arrangement
• English: Reading Comprehension
• Current Affairs daily पढ़ो
• Week में 1 Sectional Test

Month 3 Advanced:

• Math: Quadratic + Approximation
• Reasoning: Complex Puzzles
• English: Cloze Test + Error
• Banking Terms सीखो
• हफ्ते में 2 Mock Tests

Month 4 Practice:

• Previous Year Papers (2020–2024)
• Weak topics identify करो
• Speed और Accuracy improve करो
• हफ्ते में 3 Mock Tests

Month 5 Revision:

• सभी subjects का revision

6. Daily Routine जो Actually काम करती है

11:00–12:30 PM	English RC passages + Vocab (रोज़ 10 नए words)
12:30–2:00 PM	Lunch + Rest 30-45 min rest ज़रूरी है
2:00–4:00 PM	Previous Year Questions + Sectional Mock Tests
4:00–4:30 PM	Evening walk दिमाग को rest दो, ज़रूरी है
4:30–6:30 PM	General Awareness + Banking Knowledge notes बनाते जाओ
6:30–8:00 PM	उसी दिन पढ़े topics का revision यह step skip मत करो
8:00–9:30 PM	Family time + Dinner mental health के लिए ज़रूरी
9:30–10:30 PM	कल का plan बनाओ + गलत questions review करो
10:30 PM	सो जाओ 7-8 घंटे की नींद brain के लिए must है

Mock Test Rule: Mock test देने के बाद उसे analyze करना ज़रूरी है नहीं तो वो सिर्फ time waste है। हर mock के बाद यह 3 चीज़ें note करो: कौन से questions गलत हुए, क्यों गलत हुए, और उस topic पर अगले दिन extra practice।

7. Common Mistakes जो Beginners करते हैं

बहुत से beginners एक ही pattern की गलतियाँ करते हैं। इन्हें पहले से जान लो तो बहुत समय बचेगा।

Mistake 1 सिर्फ Prelims के लिए पढ़ना बहुत से beginners सोचते हैं “पहले Prelims crack करूँ, फिर Mains देखूँगा।” यह बड़ी गलती है। Prelims और Mains का syllabus overlap होता है। अगर शुरू से Mains को ध्यान में रखकर पढ़ोगे तो दोनों में फ़ायदा होगा।

Mistake 2 Mock Test देना लेकिन Analyze नहीं करना रोज़ mock देते हो, score देखते हो, और next mock शुरू कर देते हो। यह improvement नहीं है यह sirf practice है। Real improvement तब होती है जब हर गलत question को समझो और उस topic को दोबारा पढ़ो।

Mistake 3 English को Ignore करना Hindi medium students अक्सर English section skip करते हैं या उसे light लेते हैं। लेकिन bank exam में English का weight बहुत है Prelims में 30 marks और Mains में 40 marks। रोज़ 1 RC passage और 10 vocabulary words यह minimum है।

Mistake 4 Banking Awareness को Last Moment पर छोड़ना Mains में General/Financial Awareness 50 marks का है। बहुत से students इसे exam के 1 हफ्ते पहले पढ़ना शुरू करते हैं और फिर पूरा section low रहता है। इसे Day 1 से शुरू करो, थोड़ा-थोड़ा रोज़।

Mistake 5 Speed के चक्कर में Accuracy खोना Bank exam में time pressure बहुत होता है इसलिए लोग speed बढ़ाने की कोशिश करते हैं और accuracy घटा लेते हैं। Negative marking 0.25 है 4 गलत = 1 सही बर्बाद। Rule: पहले accuracy, फिर speed।

Mistake 6 Attempt Order Fix न करना Exam hall में घबराहट में जो section पहले दिखे उसे करने लग जाते हैं। पहले से decide करो मेरे लिए कौन सा section easy है। वो पहले करो, marks secure करो, फिर difficult section पर जाओ।

Bank exam डरावना बिलकुल भी नहीं है बस सही direction और consistent effort चाहिए। Syllabus fixed है, pattern fixed है, और मेहनत का direct result मिलता है। पहले attempt में न भी हो तो हार मत मानो हर attempt में आप better होते हो। आज से शुरू करो पहला दिन हमेशा मुश्किल लगता है, लेकिन जो आज शुरू करता है, वो कल result देखता है। All the best!
